I got to sit down & interview The Man, The Myth, The Empire of Amadeus.

He was kind enough to be my first Blog Post and chat for a good 3 hours.

Big Belly laughs, sword-fighting, & dirty limericks were consumed.

1. When did you know you wanted to be a Musician?
January 27, 1756

2. How long have you been playing?
My sister, Nannerl, started lessons when she was seven and I was 3 years old. I’ve been playing ever since. Why should big sisters have all the fun?

3. What inspires you?
The world sings to me. Much of my music is inspired by what happens around and to me.

4. Your go-to -song?
Uptown Funk, by Signore Mars.

5. What are you going to perform for us today? Do you sing? Play other instruments?
Today I will be delighting you with one of my favorite pieces: “Leck mich im Arsch”

6. What is your process when writing songs? Recording in the Studio?
“When I am … completely myself, entirely alone… or during the night when I cannot sleep, it is on such occasions that my ideas flow best and most abundantly. Whence and how these ideas come I know not nor can I force them.”

7. Do you like being famous?
Of course! I don’t normally pay much attention to either praise or criticism. But I certainly do not mind being recognized for my work.

8. What designer are you wearing today?
What, this old thing? As long as it has some flair and catches the light. And lots of shiny buttons. Oh! And is a great color. Excuse me, I need to go buy a new coat now.

9. Do you selfie? Hashtag? Tweet?
Usually just wine. Cheap and plenty of it.

10. Favorite childhood Memory?
Gosh, that would have to be the time the Vatican locked me away when I was 14 for stealing their secret music. What can I say, I heard it once and it just stuck with me. Those stuffy, muffy, gruffy old farts.

11. How long have you been on tour? Where are you traveling to? Favorite Tour Destination?
Tour life. Woof. What can I say gang? I’ve been all over Europe and started when I was very young. But Vienna is my favorite so far.

12. What impact would you like to make on society with your music?
Money! Power! Fame! No, none of that interests me very much but it does sound like a grumpy Court Composer I know. Extraordinary music for ordinary people, that’s what I want to give to society.

13. Favorite song to dance to?
Did I mention Uptown Funk?

14. Would you perform at Coachella?
The new Coachella is flashy but I prefer the older style of carriages.

15. Frozen Fan?
Frozen? Fan? How would that work? I suppose it may be nice on warm days to fan yourself with a cool breeze but I’ve never tried it before.

16. Any dreams of Broadway? Favorite Show?
The brothels? Oh yes, I adore them. Those broads put on a great show.

17. Dating anyone?
Well there was this one girl, a very talented soprano. But now I’m dating her sister.
